No separate official examination request (or fee) is required, but unless a request is made by the applicant, examination will commence only after some 5 years have lapsed from the filing date
The Israel Patent Office will grant a patent based on the existance of an issued parallel patent in certain patent authorities, provided the claims are the same.
Following a successful examination, the Patent Office issues a notice of allowability. At that stage the Applicant must pay publication fee, for the publication of the allowed application.
